About Cookies

The palarnie.pl website automatically collects only information contained in cookies. Cookies are digital data, in particular text files, which are stored on the user’s end device — computer, phone, tablet, etc. — and are intended for using the website pages.

Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, the time they are stored on the end device, and a unique number.

Cookies may be used for the purpose of:

  1. adapting the content of website pages to the user’s preferences and optimizing the use of websites; in particular, these files allow the user’s device to be recognized and the website to be displayed accordingly, tailored to the user’s individual needs;
  2. creating statistics that help understand how users use websites, which makes it possible to improve their structure and content;
  3. maintaining user sessions on websites after logging in, so that the user does not have to re-enter their login and password on every subpage of a given website.

There are two main types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files stored on the user’s end device until logging out, leaving the website, or closing the browser. Persistent cookies are stored on the user’s end device for the period specified in the cookie parameters or until they are deleted by the user.

The following types of cookies are used:

a. necessary cookies, enabling the use of services available within the website, e.g. authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the website;
b. security cookies, e.g. used to detect abuse in the field of authentication within the website;
c. performance cookies, enabling the collection of information on how the website pages are used;
d. functional cookies, enabling the website to remember settings selected by the user and personalize the user interface, e.g. selected language, region, font size, website appearance, etc.;
e. advertising cookies, enabling users to receive advertising content more tailored to their interests.

Blocking or Restricting Cookies by the User

In many cases, software used for browsing websites — a web browser — allows cookies to be stored on the user’s end device by default.

Users may change cookie settings at any time. In particular, they may block cookies in the browser settings on their device or require that they be informed each time cookies are placed on their device.

Detailed information on the possibility and methods of handling cookies is available in the browser settings. However, please note that disabling cookies may affect the proper functioning, quality, and convenience of using some websites, including palarnie.pl. In particular, some websites may stop working properly, which is why we do not recommend disabling cookies.

Third-Party Cookies

The palarnie.pl website uses, in particular, Google statistics and cookies to assess the effectiveness of its own activities and advertising campaigns, as well as to analyze user traffic on palarnie.pl.

Google cookies may, in particular, be placed on the user’s computer after clicking on or viewing an advertisement. They do not contain personal data or contact details. The purpose of placing these files is to measure advertising effectiveness and identify whether a given advertisement led the user to take the desired action on the palarnie.pl website.

Detailed information on how Google uses information collected through cookies can be found on the Google Privacy Center website. We also recommend the Ads Preferences Manager.

Third parties — external providers, including Google — may display advertisements published by Palarnie on websites that provide advertising space. These providers, including Google, may use cookies or web beacons to collect information on websites and then display advertisements based on the user’s previous visits to palarnie.pl or other websites related to Palarnie, as well as other websites.

It is possible to opt out of this option and block these Google cookies on the Google Privacy Center website.

Palarnie may conduct advertising campaigns based on the user’s previous visits to palarnie.pl, as well as statistically available information about the user’s interests determined on the basis of websites previously visited by the user, in order to present its offer or encourage the user to visit palarnie.pl again.

These advertisements will not contain the user’s personal data and will not clearly suggest that the user has performed a specific action on the palarnie.pl website.

In particular, Palarnie may use dynamic ad display functionality in its campaigns, which uses the Teracent cookie. Users may opt out of this cookie on the Teracent website, and may also opt out of DoubleClick remarketing pixels on the DoubleClick website or on the Network Advertising Initiative website.

For those particularly interested in privacy protection issues and ways to limit the collection of information about website users by advertisers, we recommend the Network Advertising Initiative website.

Everyone who has provided us with their personal data and/or contact information is guaranteed the right to access their personal data and request corrections.

We also provide the possibility to opt out of receiving commercial information by e-mail in the future, of telephone contact initiated by us, and of other direct communication methods used for marketing purposes, presenting offers, market research, customer satisfaction surveys, etc.

If a message sent by us does not contain information on how to opt out of receiving similar messages, or if, for any reason, the opt-out request proves ineffective, please contact us directly by e-mail, indicating the scope of direct communication for commercial purposes that we should cease, as well as the personal data and contact information concerned, and any other relevant circumstances.

We will make every effort to process such requests without undue delay. Before making appropriate changes in our databases, we reserve the right to verify whether the request actually comes from the person whose data is indicated in it, by sending a verification message or confirming by telephone.
