Legal provisions
Several years of work on amending the Act on Health Protection against the Consequences of Using Tobacco and Tobacco Products culminated in the creation of the currently applicable version, the aim of which is undoubtedly to protect non-smokers from passive smoking.
In the light of this Act, a new definition of “smoking room” was created, which reads: “smoking room – a room structurally separated from other rooms and passageways, appropriately marked, used exclusively for smoking tobacco products, equipped with mechanical exhaust ventilation or a filter system in such a way that tobacco smoke does not penetrate into other rooms.”
